Our Story

Lotus, Sage and Tea is a herbal tea business aimed at creating a peaceful tea drinking experience for tea drinkers. Our goal is to create an escape for customers from their usually busy day through their enjoyment of tea.

Lotus, Sage and Tea will provide customers with a moment to escape the complexities of life and find clarity in the present moment.

Our founder discovered and fell in love with loose leaf herbal tea in 2018 and it became a passion of hers. It became her escape from the chaos of the world around her. During this time she also discovered a book, “No Mud, No Lotus” by, Thich Nhat Hanh. This book was such an eye opener and helped our founder to start embracing the good with the bad. The Lotus flower is our founders favorite flower and it is one of the most beautiful in our opinion. This book reminded our founder of the fact that beauty can be the product of something that is deemed ugly or impossible. Just look at the lotus flower and how it cannot grow without mud. Our founder continued to incorporate practices that brought her peace despite the stressors of life. Tea became a part of her everyday life and she began to live in the present. She began to live. She started to find joy in the journey and it all started with one sip. It was truly love at first sip.

Lotus, Sage and Tea is an herbal tea business meant to bring a sense of peace to your life. We aim to help you begin, go through and end your day with intention and a clear mind. We are aiming to create peace in such a chaotic world one sip at a time. We want tea to be your escape. When you sit down with your cup of tea our hope is that you disconnect, put on music that brings you joy, kick up your feet, read your book, practice yoga, meditate or whatever you desire to do. We just ask that it be focused on bringing calm and joy into your life. Life is too short to not enjoy it.
